    Saturday May 17

    Norway's National Day -- lots of parades!
    10am: Childrens's Parade, downtown Trondheim. All school children and their marching bands participating. Lots and lots of bunad-clad people, especially women and girls. (Bunad is traditional Norwegian formal wear with lots of embroideries, traditional silver jewelry, colors and pattern reflecting various regions of Norway.
    Noon: PARA participants are invited to Reception at Scandic Residence (Trondheim Torg) hosted by Trondheim's Director of Tourism Jens Fredrik von der Lippe. (sign-up required -- details TBA)
    1pm: People's Parade. Lots of organizations including sport teams, volunteer organizations, etc participating. The public may join at the end.
    3pm; "Russetoget" -- Parade of High School graduates dressed in their red and blue caps turning the City "upside down".
